Mayor Of Wanti-wanti ASN Work At Madrasah Mataram NTB Must Be Neutral

The Mayor of Mataram Mohan Roliskana reminded all ranks of the state civil apparatus (ASN) including the madrasa environment in Mataram City to be neutral in the 2024 election.

"The neutrality of ASN has become a fixed rule for all ASN wherever he is on duty, so as not to be involved in practical political activities. Regarding supporting support, it will be implemented in a voter," he said in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara Province, Wednesday.

This was conveyed after participating in the 2024 Ministry of Religion's Charity Day ceremony, which one of the points requested that ASN be included in the madrasa to be neutral during the 2024 General Election.

Especially for ASN within the Mataram City Government, including within the Education Office, said the mayor, warnings have often been carried out even before the campaign period is implemented.

"Meanwhile, at the madrasa, we are sure that we have also received a warning from the Mataram City Ministry of Religion, even directly from the Indonesian Ministry of Religion," he said.

Moreover, ASN works under oath in accordance with statutory regulations, and prohibits ASN from dealing with politics.

"Our hope is that the ranks of ASN, both in government ranks and in madrasa, can obey the rules and be neutral during the 2024 election," he said.

While alluding to the use of Islamic boarding schools as a place of campaign, the Mayor of Mataram said, so far there have been no reports related to this.

"From the results of Bakesbangpol monitoring, there has also been no report on the Islamic boarding school being used for politics, both for legislative and presidential candidates," he said.

Nevertheless, the mayor appealed to the owners of Islamic boarding schools in Mataram City to maintain conduciveness and harmony in Mataram City by avoiding identity politics.

"Thus, we hope that the political events of the legislative candidates and presidential candidates can run in a safe and smooth atmosphere," he said.
