JAKARTA - An earthquake with a magnitude (M) of 5.9 centered in Bayah Regency, Banten, was also felt by residents of Sukabumi City and Regency at 07.53 WIB. "We are still monitoring the post-earthquake conditions whether there is damage or not," said Head of the Sukabumi City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Novian Rahmat, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, January 3. According to BMKG data, the M5.9 earthquake was located at 7.57 South Latitude (LS) and 106.14 East Longitude (BT) or 72 km Southwest, Bayah Regency, Banten, at a depth of 74 km.
