New Year's Backflow 2024, Goods At Bakauheni Port Are Crowded Smoothly

JAKARTA - New Year's 2024 backflow activity at Bakauheni Port, South Lampung, on Monday, January 1, was observed to be busy smoothly. At 12.00 WIB to 13.00 WIB, passengers were observed to be smooth, both in the executive dock area and regular dock.

The atmosphere of the parking bag at the port also seemed to be crowded from the homecoming vehicle, not only that, pedestrian passengers also crowded the ship's entrance.

The port entrance in the vehicle checking area was busy and smooth, and did not show any queues of vehicles.

General Manager of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry Bakauheni Branch Rudi Sunarko said his party had recorded the number of passengers of 3,224 four-wheeled vehicles. This number has decreased from the previous day which was only 3,955 cars.

"The number of pedestrian passengers is 2,119 people and 26,390 passengers in the vehicle," Rudi said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, January 1.

He appealed to ferry service users to buy Ferizy tickets from far away.

"So we appeal to prospective travelers from Sumatra to Java who will use ASDP crossing services to buy tickets from far away," he said. PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) has imposed new provisions for purchasing online ferry tickets starting December 11, 2023.

This provision applies to Bakauheni Port, Merak Port, Ketapang Port, and Gilimanuk Port.
