PPP Will Fire Cadres Who Support Prabowo-Gibran

Acting Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP) Muhammad Mardiono confirmed that he would fire PPP cadres who recently supported presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2 Prabowo Subinto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

According to him, the steps taken by the cadres who supported other than the Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md pair were considered to have violated the party's Articles of Association and Household Budget (AD/ART).

"Against Mr. Witjaksono (the coordinator of PPP fighters supporting Prabowo-Gibran), because actually only joining PPP is still a matter of months and not even a year. So, maybe Witjaksono's brother has not read the AD/ART and actually they don't recognize what an organization is, let alone PPP," said Mardiono in his statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Monday, January 1.

Furthermore, Mardiono admitted that he had asked the Secretary General of the PPP DPP Arwani Thomafi to dismiss and revoke the membership card of cadres who did not comply with the party's decision.

"God willing, we will finish it and ask the Secretary General, where the person concerned is dismissed and his membership is revoked, then for what his name is painted we will do tabayyun," he said.

On the other hand, the Honorary Council of the PPP DPP, Emron Pangkapi, said that his name was only used in the PPP Fighters' declaration in support of Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"PPP from the start wanted to make the Indonesian government in the future a religious national. InSya-Allah in the next 45 days, all ranks will work hard to get victory, especially the PPP extended family who are intact in the ranks of the party, God willing, with Pak Ganjar and Pak Mahfud," added Emron.

Emron also admitted that he would participate in the struggle to win PPP and pair number 3 in the remaining 45 days before the 2024 General Election.

"InSya-Allah, 45 days, as well as uniting the PPP extended family under the leadership of Mr. Mardiono. Once again the journey for all PPP residents wherever they are, Ganjar-Mahfud wins, wins, wins," he concluded.

Previously, there were a number of cadres on behalf of PPP, namely 'PPP Fighters' declared support for the Prabowo-Gibran pair and closed the names of cadres without the permission of the person concerned.
