Traveling Using Electric Cars? There Is A PLN Mobile Application For Access To The Nearest SPKLU Location

JAKARTA - Electric car users are more comfortable traveling during the Christmas 2023 and New Year 2024 (Nataru) holidays. This is because PT PLN (Persero) through the PLN Mobile application continues to make it easier for Electric Vehicle (EV) users to access the location of the nearest Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) with just a finger touch.

PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo said that the presence of the PLN Mobile application of course aims to facilitate PLN customers and electric vehicle users. What's more, ahead of the 2023 homecoming preparation this time, PLN wants to make sure people have no trouble finding the nearest SPKLU location.

"We have ensured that every rest area is available SPKLU and can be accessed very easily through the PLN Mobile application. PLN will continue to encourage the EV ecosystem in Indonesia, one of which is by ensuring that the infrastructure for EV users is well available," Darmawan said in his statement, Sunday, December 31.

Darmawan hopes that the public will not need to worry about using electric vehicles as a choice of long-distance accommodation during homecoming. This is because PLN will continue to innovate to provide supporting facilities in supporting the development of the electric vehicle ecosystem in the country.

PLN continues to carry out transformations to improve customer service. One of them is with features that support this electric vehicle ecosystem," said Darmawan.

PLN also shares steps for EV users who want to search for SPKLU Locations through the PLN Mobile application, as follows:

1. Make sure the PLN Mobile application is installed on a smartphone that can be downloaded via the PlayStore or AppStore.2. Open the application and register/enter the account, make sure your GPS is active when using the PLN Mobile.3 application. Select the "Electric Vehicle" menu in the upper right corner of the screen.4. Then select the SPKLU menu among other options.5. The location of the SPKLU closest to your location will be visible, this option can also be adjusted using a List or Map.

Not only that, this application also provides directions to SPKLU locations. Thus, electric car users will find it easier to find the existence of SPKLU.

In addition, during the Nataru Holiday this time, PLN has alerted 624 Unit EV Chargers spread across 411 strategic points in Indonesia. A total of 64 EV chargers at 38 SPKLU points are also available along the Trans Sumatra-Java toll road for electric vehicle drivers who will go home.
