BOYOLALI - Presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo again advised Commission II of the DPR to summon the General Elections Commission (KPU) to clarify regarding the distribution of ballots for the 2024 General Election which had leaked to voters in Taipei, Taiwan.

"I think Commission II should immediately summon the KPU and clarify it," said Ganjar after a visit to Kebon Agung Market, Boyolali Regency, Central Java, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, December 30.

According to Ganjar, there was negligence in the process of distributing the 2024 election ballots to voters in Taipei, Taiwan, because it did not match the schedule set by the KPU (PKPU) regulations.

"The game feels like it. It's a bit funny, isn't it, because the preparations are already scheduled. There are those who are negligent, yes, that's not very careful," said Ganjar.

Previously, KPU Chairman Hasyim Asy'ari said the distribution of the 2024 Election ballot to voters in Taipei, Taiwan, violated the rules because it was not in accordance with the schedule at PKPU Number 25 of 2023 concerning Voting and Counting of Votes in the Election.

Based on the PKPU, sending ballots to voters abroad through the postal method is carried out on January 2-11, 2024.

However, the Overseas Election Committee (PPLN) in Taipei has sent ballots to voters on December 18 and 25, 2023.

For this incident, according to Hasyim, the KPU has taken action, one of which is that the ballot that has been sent to voters in Taiwan is declared to be categorized as damaged and not taken into account.
