Ganjar: Social Assistance Is Now A Commodity That Smells Political

BOYOLALI - presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo asked that there be no politicization regarding the distribution of social assistance (bansos), which is the right of the community, in the political year ahead of the 2024 General Elections (Pemilu).

"(The social assistance) should not be politicized, because that's the people's right, that's right," said Ganjar after a visit to Kebon Agung Market, Boyolali Regency, Central Java, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, December 30.

According to him, in the current political year, social assistance has become a political commodity, where many claims emerged during the campaign period.

"Now social assistance has become a commodity that smells political, yes. In the past, there were those who said don't choose Ganjar, later he will stop social assistance. STATEMENT (statement) like that feels irregular, that's it," said Ganjar.

He explained that the distribution of social assistance was carried out after receiving the approval of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) after being proposed by the Government and the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) had routinely made preparations related to the distribution of social assistance.

Ganjar started a series of campaigns in Boyolali Regency, Central Java, Saturday, by greeting residents and traders at the Kebon Agung Market.

After visiting Kebon Agung Market, Ganjar had breakfast with residents at Warung Soto Mbah Lanjar which was not far from the market.
