Ganjar Talks About The Debate Of A Presidential Candidate, Alludes To Geopolitical Turbulence

Presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo revealed a number of issues that will be discussed in the third debate.

The third debate will be held by the Indonesian General Elections Commission (KPU) on January 7, 2024, with the theme defense, security, international relations, and geopolitical relations. The third debate will bring together between presidential candidates.

"The world's geopolitics has changed, soturbulence (extorted), multipolar, many countries have repositioned themselves," said Ganjar when giving a speech at the sarasehan event with the exponent, alumnus, and activist of the Indonesian National Student Movement (GMNI) in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, December 28.

He also said that currently climate change is pressing so that food production is disrupted. Meanwhile, regarding inter-state dominance, he continued, each country wants to compete to become a champion in regulating the world.

"I'm not talking about leaked debate tomorrow, but tomorrow we will talk about this," said the former Governor of Central Java for two terms.

Previously, Ganjar while campaigning in Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java, Tuesday (26/12) night, admitted that he had prepared three notes to face a third debate.

First, said Ganjar, Indonesia's foreign political orientation adheres to the principle of being free to be active.

How the idea of adapting national interests in it is in accordance with changes such as the 2045 demographic bonus conditions and others in the energy, food and development sectors of the digital world.

Second, how about the idea of national defense to adapt national interests in it, such as conflicts in the North Natuna Sea and other borders with the world around Indonesia.

Third, how to optimize foreign relations with ASEAN member countries can adapt national interests in the food, energy, and defense sectors.

"I think that will be the issue tomorrow," said the vice presidential candidate pair Mahfud MD.
