Cak Imin Promises To Stop Foreign Workers At The Lower Level

JAKARTA - Candidate for vice president number 1 Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) promised to limit the use of foreign workers to work for companies operating in Indonesia, especially at work at the lower level.

"Foreign workers at the lower level must be stopped. We have stock at the employee level or workers at the lowest level. The stock is complete," said Cak Imin Tangerang, Banten, Wednesday, December 27.

In fact, if needed, Cak Imin admitted that he would stop the existence of foreign nationals to no longer work in the country, if later he and Anies Baswedan were elected President and Vice President in 2024.

"Especially those who are rough at the bottom, roughness is not allowed from foreigners. Zero if necessary," said Cak Imin.

However, the General Chairperson of the PKB still allows foreign workers to work in fields that require high competence according to the needs of investors.

"If the level is high, for example, certain IT experts, investors in default, because investors use certain technology, we can. But if workers are normal, we already have and must be stopped from foreign workers," said Cak Imin.

In this regard, presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan also briefly highlighted the condition of providing wages or salaries for foreign workers in Indonesia, which is nominally greater than local workers.

"What hurts is this, the person's skills are the same as his duties, but the foreigner is paid more expensive than Indonesia. I think this is unfair, and this must be changed. Don't let us become guests on our own land. We must be able to host on our own land," said Anies some time ago.
