JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) noted that since its operation on October 17, 2023, the number of passengers on the Fast Train

President Director of PT KCIC, Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi said this achievement shows the high public demand for modern public transportation with travel time efficiency and comfort.

"Achieving 1 million passengers in just two months is proof of the high need for modern and reliable public transportation in Indonesia," Dwiyana said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday.

Dwiyana said the presence of the nicesh high-speed train received a very good response from the public, as seen from the average occupancy reaching 90 percent of the total availability of seats in each series.

"KCIC will continue to provide the best service to ensure Whoosh remains the main choice for community travel between Jakarta and Bandung," he said.

According to him, based on the survey results received, 48 percent of high-speed train passengers used to be private car users. This means that the presence ofASH has succeeded in assisting government programs in transferring people from private transportation to public transportation that is safer and more environmentally friendly.

"With the availability of good facilities and efficient services, people are increasingly choosing public transportation such as MAYh, thus contributing to reduced dependence on private cars," he said.

"This addition is carried out to accommodate the needs of passengers who are expected to increase during the Nataru period. KCIC anticipates the increasing number of passengers who want to take a vacation," he said.

The highest number of passengers served in one day on train trips has reached up to 21,500 passengers per day, including at the current year-end holiday.
