Chicken Noodles Containing Formalin Circulating In Nganjuk Landslide Refugee Camp: 11 People Was Treated At The Hospital, 33 Experienced Mild Symptoms

JAKARTA - The Nganjuk Police have found chicken noodles containing formaldehyde circulating in a refugee camp for landslide victims in Ngetos Village, Nganjuk Regency, East Java. These noodles are consumed by victims to disaster volunteers.

Kapolres Nganjuk AKBP Harviadhi Agung said the noodles were sent by donors. The results of laboratory tests, the level of formaldehyde contained in the noodles reached 10.

"I ordered from the Criminal Investigation Department to take samples of noodles, sauce, sauce, soy sauce and mixed vegetables. Last night I asked for help for food security from medicine in Nganjuk. Zero nitrite, zero cyanide, zero arsenine, but 10 formalin," he explained in Nganjuk. reported by Antara, Friday, February 19.

With the results of the study, it can be concluded that people who experience symptoms of poisoning such as nausea, vomiting, and dizziness due to consuming these noodles.

Based on reports received on Thursday, February 18 at around 2.00 WIB, dozens of people experienced symptoms of poisoning such as nausea, vomiting and dizziness.

For that, continued Harviadhi Agung, his party sent a team from Satreskrim to investigate. From the results of the investigation, there were 44 people experiencing these symptoms.

"Currently three people are at Nganjuk Hospital, one person at Bhayangkara Hospital and seven people at the Ngetos Health Center. 33 people experience mild symptoms so they are outpatient," he said.

Kapolres Harviadhi Agung said the team had also conducted an investigation. From the information, the noodles were the help of several people acting on behalf of themselves in the Surabaya Chicken Mi Association.

The police also immediately followed up by calling the contact numbers at the association, namely Sidoarjo residents and Malang residents.

"We have contacted the identity and whereabouts. This afternoon I ordered the criminal investigations to pick up. We will carry out further investigations at the Nganjuk Police. If there is a criminal element, we will increase it for further processing," he said.

Of the 44 victims who were registered, his condition has improved. He hoped that they would all recover soon.
