Ganjar Pranowo Ready To Implement Central Java Baznas Optimization To The National

Presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo stated that he was ready to implement the optimization program that had been implemented at the Central Java National Amil Zakat Agency to the national level. This is if he wins the 2024 presidential election with the Vice Presidential Candidate Mahfud Md.

Through a written statement received in Semarang, Monday, Central Java Baznas, which initially only received hundreds of millions of rupiah per month, now after Ganjar Pranowonjabat, the Governor of Central Java, increased to Rp6 billion.

He is committed to bringing the good program to the national level by optimizing Baznas as one of the financial sources for the success of the community welfare program.

"In the past, before we arrived, Central Java Baznas only got Rp. 300 million a month, but after we managed and made a direct discounted system or payroll, the amount rose significantly to Rp. 6 billion per month. That's why Central Java Province Baznas has always been a national pilot," he said, quoting Antara.

The money collected from state civil servants within the Central Java Provincial Government, Ganjar continued, was used for the benefit of the community, such as helping build places of worship, paying hospitals, scholarships, building uninhabitable houses, incentives for Koran teachers and others.

"And that is not necessary to wait for a complicated budget mechanism. It can be used immediately as long as the requirements are appropriate. In fact, not only for consumptive needs, but also for productive needs such as training, business capital and others," he said.

Not only the management of Baznas by payroll, many other good practices in Central Java that will be brought by Ganjar to the national level such as the construction of free boarding schools specifically for the poor, providing incentives for religious teachers and others.

"That's what we will replicate and the method is not too difficult. If it is done, then the potential of Baznas can be very high," he said.
