Fatigue, Mahfud MD Cancels Campaign In NTB

JAKARTA - Vice Presidential Candidate Mahfud Md canceled his campaign to Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara to meet volunteers and declaration of volunteers Mahfud Guru Bangsa (MGB) because of fatigue.

Chairman of TPD Ganjar-Mahfud NTB Muzihir confirmed the cancellation of Mahfud's presence in Mataram City.

"Yes, they canceled their arrival because they were tired, so they were recommended by a team of TPN doctors to rest first," he quoted Antara as saying.

He said that even without the presence of Vice Presidential Candidate (Cawapres) Mahfud Md, a number of events that had been scheduled to continue and were replaced by Deputy Coordinator of TPN Ganjar - Mahfud Tuan Guru Bajang (TGB) Muhammad Zainul Majdi and representatives of TPN.

"As for today, the agendas that have been scheduled will still be implemented and represented by TGB," he explained.

According to him, before canceling coming to Mataram, Mahfud Md had time to go around monitoring Christmas Eve in Jakarta, Sunday (24/12).

"God willing, the presence of Mr. Mahfud Md will be rescheduled in NTB," he said.

Previously, Mahfud Md was planned to visit NTB for two days, to be precise on Monday and Tuesday, December 25-26, 2023.

In addition to attending the support from the Reserve Mahfud Guru Bangsa which will be attended by around 1,500 people consisting of teachers, leaders of Islamic boarding schools, and Koran teachers. Mahfud Md will also visit the GGMU Command Post, visit to the NTB Nahdlatul Ulama University (UNU) Campus.

Then still on Monday, Mahfud Md plans to give a national public lecture as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam). Visit to Darul Atqiah Islamic Boarding School, Labulia Village, Jonggat District, Central Lombok Regency

Furthermore, on Tuesday (26/12), delivering a public lecture with the theme "The importance of Gen Z and Millennials' involvement in the Politics and Security of the Republic of Indonesia" at GOR Hamzanwadi Pancor, East Lombok, shslat z promiseur at the Al-Abror Pancor Mushola, East Lombok and Zemakan lunch and declaration of support for teachers throughout NTB and alumni of the Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Association & Alumni Association (IKSAS).
