KASN Imposes Moral Sanctions On ASN Riau Islands Provincial Government For Violating Election Neutrality

TANJUNGPINANG - Bawaslu Riau Islands Province (Kepri) confirmed that the State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN) had issued a recommendation letter regarding the findings of the neutrality violation of the two Riau Islands Provincial Government ASNs, namely Arif Fadillah and Yova Aprizair.

A member of the Riau Islands Bawaslu, Rosnawati said, based on the recommendation letter, KASN decided that Arif Fadillah was not proven to have violated the neutrality of ASN for the 2024 General Election. Meanwhile, Yova Aprizair was proven to have violated the neutrality of ASN.

"KASN imposes moral sanctions on ASN, Yopa Aprizair," Rosnawati said as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, December 24.

Meanwhile, based on letter number B-4780/NK.01.00/12/2023 issued by KASN on Wednesday, December 20, it was stated that the recommendation was based on the results of the clarification made by KASN against Arif Fadillah and Yofa Aprizair, Friday, December 15.

Previously, the two ASNs reportedly attended a road movement and healthy gymnastics event held by the Hanura Party at the Abdul Manaf Kundur Mini Stadium, Karimun Regency on November 5, 2023.

From the results of KASN's clarification, it was stated that Arif Fadillah's presence at the Hanura Party event was based on the order of the Riau Islands Provincial Secretary Number: 3.1/090.DD/1.C.3.5/XI/2023 dated November 3, 2023.

In the letter also stated that while attending the event, Arif Fadillah, who is also Assistant I of the Riau Islands Provincial Government, did not convey a speech and did not wear Hanura Party clothes or attributes, so KASN decided that the person concerned was not proven to have committed a violation of election neutrality.

As for Yopa Aprizair, according to the recommendation letter of KASN, it was declared proven to have violated the neutrality of ASN, for attending party activities without the permission of his superiors directly.

KASN recommended that the Governor of the Riau Islands, Ansar Ahmad, impose moral sanctions on Yopa Aprizair.
