Appearing Surprising In The Vice Presidential Debate, PSI Candidate: This Is The Original Gibran

JAKARTA - The legislative candidate (Caleg) of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), Cheryl Tanzil, assessed that Vice Presidential Candidate number 2, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, appeared very surprising in the vice presidential debate held by the KPU at the JCC on Friday, December 22. According to him, Gibran's performance last night showed the original ability of President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) eldest son.

"I think yesterday, Mas Gibran was very natural. Actually, Gibran is actually like that as the mayor. He is a person who really understands the problem, he can answer the aspirations of the residents and can also answer questions from, for example, academics, experts in Solo," said Cheryl in Cikini, Jakarta, Saturday 23 December.

The Deputy Commander of Bravo TKN Prabowo-Gibran said, when it comes to debate, of course, you have to learn the themes and subthemes so you can answer questions well. Second, you can fend off the opponent's attack.

"Just that focus. So I think the real Gibran is this," said Cheryl.

Cheryl then revealed the reason why Gibran refused to attend a debate other than the KPU or attended the university invitation. This is because of Gibran's narrow time.

"For example, many people who have been (presum Gibran, ed) have been asked (an answer) short, then how come Gibran doesn't want to debate, he doesn't want to fulfill university invitations. Because of this, of all the Vice Presidential Candidates, the shortest time is Mas Gibran. Another vice presidential candidate has an old declaration, Mr. Gibran has a short time, while so many public nodes must be approached. Well, of course, Mas Gibran must sort out the priority scale that will be approached," said Cheryl.

"And of course going down to the residents of the grass root community is the most important thing. Because it is the majority of our population. When it comes down, he knows what society's problems are, what people's longing is. That's what is prioritized, because if we just approach from campus to campus it's just medium and collide ideas but not necessarily conditions on the ground like that," he continued.

The most important thing for Gibran, added Cheryl, is to talk a little about working a lot, as he does as Mayor of Solo.

"And Mas Gibran several times when he was asked by reporters, he was always like this. 'The important thing is not a lot of talk, but a lot of work, right', and he proved that, right? How can Solo be researched. Look what Solo's development is like," he concluded.
