KPK Examines DPR Experts And Former Director General Of Capture Fisheries, Edhy Prabowo's Benur Bribery Case

Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators confiscate a villa unit with a land area of 2 hectares allegedly belonging to Edhy Prabowo

JAKARTA - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators have examined eight witnesses in the bribery case for the export license of lobster fries or lobster seeds.

Those summoned included experts from the Indonesian Parliament, Chusni Mubarok, and former Director General of Capture Fisheries, Zulfikar Mochtar.

The two of them were examined as witnesses for the former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Edhy Prabowo who was a suspect in receiving bribes in this case.

"Chusni Mubarok and Zulfikar Mochtar were questioned as witnesses for the EP suspect," said Acting KPK spokesperson for prosecution Ali Fikri, Friday, February 19.

In addition, there are also six other witnesses who will be examined to complete the Edhy Prabowo case file. They are students on behalf of Esti Marina; Jaya Marlian and Ade Tirta Kamandanu who are private employees; and an entrepreneur named Syaekhur Rahman.

Furthermore, there was also a civil servant named Elsi and a farmer named Zulhijar.

It is not certain the material for the examination of these eight witnesses is not yet known. However, they are suspected of knowing about the alleged bribery case related to the export permit for lobster fries or seeds at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.

Previously reported, in this bribery case, Edhy Prabowo was named a suspect in receiving bribes along with five other people, namely: Stafsus Minister of KKP Safri (SAF) and Andreau Pribadi Misanta (APM); Management of PT Aero Citra Kargo (PT ACK) Siswadi (SWD); The staff of the wife of the Minister of KKP, Ainul Faqih, and Amiril Mukminin (AM).

Meanwhile, the giver of the bribe was the Director of PT Dua Putra Perkasa Pratama (PT DPPP) Suharjito (SJT).

Edhy was named a suspect because he was suspected of accepting bribes from companies that had been issued a lobster seed export license using a forwarder company and were kept in one account up to Rp9.8 billion.
