Many Experiences Make PPP Sure Mahfud MD Will Face The Vice Presidential Debate Easily

Secretary General of the United Development Party (PPP) Arwani Thomafi believes that the vice presidential candidate number three, Mahfud MD will show his skills during the vice presidential debate on Friday, December 22. He is believed to be able to answer questions and argue about the economy because he already has experience.

This was conveyed by Arwani after holding a weekly meeting at the High End building, Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta. He said there were a number of discussions that were held, including the upcoming vice presidential debate.

"He is already poor across, yes, in government. (Mahfud, ed) as an official in the government always intersects with economic problems," Arwani told reporters, Wednesday, December 21.

Likewise, when he was Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam), Mahfud was said to often intersect with economic problems other than the law.

"There are many things outside of legal issues, for example, issues related to legal politics are certainly a concern for him," he said.

Meanwhile, Mahfud MD stated that he read a lot of issues related to the economy ahead of the debate. One of them is discussing infrastructure to inflation.

"Preparations, yes, yes, reading about the economy, right, reading in newspapers, what is this talking about, oh infrastructure, oh economy, this is interest rate, this is about inflation, it's all in the newspapers," said Mahfud after attending the NTT Diaspora Dialogue with Prof. Mahfud Md. in Jakarta reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 19.

Previously reported, the KPU will hold a vice presidential debate on Friday, December 22. This activity will be violated at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Senayan, Central Jakarta at 19.00 WIB.

The themes that will later be discussed in the debate activities include the people's economy, digital economy, finance, investment, taxes, trade, management of the APBN and APBD, infrastructure, and urban affairs which will last for 120 minutes in semi-town hall format.
