Bawaslu Traces Anies-Cak Imin Picture Cigarettes Allegedly Circulating In Jembrana Bali

DENPASAR - Campaigner (Jurkam) of the National Team for Winning Anies-Muhaimin (AMINAn National Team) Bali, Ahmad Baraas, responded to the circulation of cigarettes depicting Anies-Cak Imin in Jembrana Regency, Bali.

In addition to AMIN's picture, the filter cigarette packaging contains the PKB logo and the words "Indonesia Adil Makmur" for All.

Baraas said that actually the cigarettes were circulating on social media or sent via WhatsApp.

"It's (circulating) on social media, there's no cigarettes. It's a lot sent via WA or something. But the cigarettes don't exist. I don't know if it's edited or what, it's not certain (it's circulating in Bali)," he said, Tuesday, December 19.

His party emphasized that they had never produced cigarettes with the image of AMIN.

The AMIN national team suspects this cigarette is only a black campaign.

"Then secondly, there are many people who carry out black campaigns against opponents who are considered potential to win," he continued.

Meanwhile, the Coordinator of the Division for Handling Violations and Completion of Disputes of the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Jembrana Regency Pande Made Ady Muliawan said that his party had received reports of circulating cigarette packs with presidential and vice presidential candidates number 1 in Jembrana, Bali.

"I have instructed the ranks in the sub-districts and villages to conduct searches. So what is the incident like, where is the location, who gives, what is the purpose, who receives, we are still investigating. Is it allowed or not," he said.

"I can't confirm yet because this cigarette is in our understanding as a campaign material. Only the campaign material has only been mentioned in 12 items, the cigarettes don't belong there. The closest thing is food or drink, whether the cigarettes fall into the category of food and drinks, now we have to study this first," he explained.

According to him, cigarettes with pictures of presidential and vice-presidential candidates can be categorized as violations for those who distribute them.

"I think it could potentially become an election crime, in my opinion, administrative or criminal. (can be sentenced) 2 years a fine of Rp. 24 million if it is proven that money or other materials will be given to influence voters," he said.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Bali PKB DPW, Bambang Sutiyono, when confirmed, has not responded to the question of the cigarette pack with the PKB Party logo.
