KPU Sets Candidate Debate To Be Held At JCC

The General Elections Commission (KPU) has set a second debate that will bring together the vice presidential candidates (cawapres) to be held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Central Jakarta on Friday (22/12).

"The vice presidential debate campaign will be held on December 22, 2023, starting at 19.00 WIB, the venue is planned at the Jakarta Convention Center or JCC in Jakarta," said KPU chairman Hasyim Asy'ari as reported by ANTARA, Monday, December 18.

This was said by Hasyimusai to hold a finalization meeting of the second debate format with the presidential and vice presidential pair team as well as the debater's TV media.

The theme of the second debate includes the people's economy, digital economy, finance, investment, taxes, trade, management of the APBN and APBD, infrastructure, and urban areas.

Hasyim explained that the duration of the debate will go the same as the previous debate, which was 150 minutes, with a special duration of 120 minutes of debate and consisting of 6 segments.

Meanwhile, for the debate format, according to him, the KPU did not change from the previous presidential candidate's debate format.

"And as we have participated together in the first debate, the presidential candidate debate. Later the debate format will be exactly like that, so there are six segments," he said.

The first segment of the debate will be opened with the submission of vision, mission, and work programs and closed with the submission of conclusions by each vice presidential candidate in the sixth segment.
