After The Initial Debate, Kris Tjantra: Ganjar Shows Leadership

The inaugural debate of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates held by the General Elections Commission (KPU) was successfully implemented. The debate, which was held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, last night, became a matter of consideration for the public in determining their choice on February 14, 2024.

General Chairperson of Ganjarist Kris Tjantra assessed that presidential candidate (candidate) number 3 Ganjar Pranowo had shown his class as a leader. This was seen when the former Governor of Central Java answered all problems substantively and clearly.

"Ganjar has shown his class as a substantive leader, a leader who dares to take risks for his policies, and not a person who just wants to please others. In addition, Ganjar has a commitment and competence to solve the nation's problems," Kris said in his statement in Jakarta, quoted Thursday, December 14.

It is known, the theme of the first presidential candidate debate discussed issues related to government, law, human rights (HAM), eradicating corruption, strengthening democracy, improving public services, and harmony of citizens.

Kris explained that these problems have a very big influence on the daily lives of ordinary citizens, which has a huge impact on the economic problems of most people. For example, corruption, which according to several economists, lost the state due to corrupt practices, exceeds Rp200 trillion.

"With such a large budget, we can build more than 60,000 Puskesmas with the best facilities, enough to realize programs designed by the Ganjar-Mahfud pair, namely 1 Village, 1 Puskesmas, 1 Health worker. If this can be realized, all Indonesian people can maintain their health, be productive in working and earn better income," he said.

In addition, according to Kris, if the government can be free of corruption, it can improve facilities and free all 14,000 vocational schools in Indonesia to educate and train young people so that they can easily get work. Then, it can help the agricultural world realize food security so that the prices of basic commodities are no longer expensive and do not go up and down.

"Therefore, Mas Ganjar and Prof. Mahfud are very ambitious to be able to eradicate corruption to its roots. The interests of the people must be defended," explained Kris.

Meanwhile, regarding the digitization of public services, for example, this is also very beneficial for the community. For him, this program can save up to 50 percent of service time and 50 percent of the budget spent.

"The digitalization of governance in Central Java, which has been initiated by Mas Ganjar since 2014 through the Government Resources Management System (GRMS), is recorded to be able to prevent a budget leak of up to IDR 1.2 trillion through e-budgeting and e-planning features. This is a very large number for the provincial size," Kris explained.

Then about democracy and legal certainty. Kris explained that in a democratic country, investment and trade develop better because of legal certainty, transparency, and political stability.

"This creates a conducive climate for economic growth, job creation and finally there is an increase in people's welfare," said Kris.

Kris assessed that the presidential candidate number 1 can answer all the themes presented by the KPU with panelists who are experts in their respective fields.

"In the inaugural debate held by the KPU yesterday, Mas Ganjar was able to answer all problems substantively and clearly. Mas Ganjar was not long-winded but immediately answered straightforwardly and measured so that it could be understood by the public," he concluded.
