Prabowo's First Debate Appearance Is Predicted To Increase The Electability Level

JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Network for Activists (Jarnas) 98 Sangap Surbakti revealed that Presidential Candidate (Capres) Prabowo Subianto is ready to participate in the presidential candidate inaugural debate held by the General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia on Tuesday 12 December.

Sangap said, a number of 98 activists who had been directly involved in the overthrow of the New Order (Orba) gathered at the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team Media Center (TKN) to crystallize a number of issues that are predicted to be the theme of the inaugural presidential candidate debate tomorrow.

"There are Andi Arief, Budiman Sudjatmiko, Rachland Nashidik, Agus Jabo and several other friends, we discuss many issues. Such as human rights and their courts. Eradication of corruption, law enforcement in other fields and several other technical matters we discuss in such a way," said Sangap in a written statement, Tuesday, December 12.

Sangap believes that issues such as Human Rights (HAM) that often appear and discredit Prabowo during the presidential election do not interfere with the performance of candidate pair number 2. The reason is that Prabowo always thinks forward.

"I am one of the historical actors. Everything has been completed. We have tightened it, regarding human rights, we must propose a concept that answers challenges in the future. It is no longer just going back," said Sangap.

Sangap assessed that Prabowo's appearance would amaze the Indonesian people with the ability to answer questions from the jury and presidential candidates who were present at the debate. That way, his party ensures that after the inaugural debate, Prabowo-Gibran's electability level will be thicker leaving the other two candidates.

"I had read the Kompas Research and Development Survey, Prabowo-Gibran leading was 39.3 percent. After tomorrow's debate, it will definitely reach 42-45 percent. We'll see tomorrow," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka National Campaign Team (TKN) gathered 98 activists ahead of the inaugural debate of the presidential and vice presidential candidates organized by the Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU) on Tuesday 12 December.

As is known, presidential candidate (candidate) number 2, Prabowo Subianto is planned to hold his first debate on Tuesday. The plan is that one of the debates will discuss the issue of Human Rights (HAM).

Secretary of TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Nusron Wahid conveyed this as well as anticipatory steps because Prabowo was often considered a figure of human rights violators. This issue always appears every 5 years, the former Danjen Kopassus participates in the presidential election.

"What is certain is that questions will arise because every 5 years Pak Prabowo participates in the presidential election because it is related to the past," Nusron said at a press conference at the TKN Prabowo-Gibran Media Center.
