KPU Cancels Nobar Debate Of Presidential Candidates, The Reason Is Already Broadcast On TV

JAKARTA - The General Elections Commission (KPU) canceled its nobar activity aka watching together with the presidential candidate's inaugural debate, Tuesday, December 12.

"It didn't happen together because all televisions will broadcast live," said KPU chairman Hasyim at the KPU office, Jakarta, Monday, December 11.

The presidential candidate's inaugural debate is also broadcast via digital platforms to live streaming

"All kinds of things are given access to broadcast the presidential candidate debate," continued Hasyim.

Initially, the KPU provided 3 locations for the presidential and vice-presidential candidates around the KPU office, Jakarta.

"Regarding whether there are nobar points in some places we are discussing, there are already projections at three points," said KPU member August Mellaz, Saturday, December 9.

He said the debate place with the town hall model on the KPU page could accommodate up to 800 people. However, each candidate pair is allowed to bring 75 people, bringing a total of 225 people.

The rest are for KPU invited guests, including representatives from ministries, institutions, ambassadors, and other invited guests.

The first presidential candidate debate to be held on December 12, raised the theme of Law, Human Rights, Eradication of Corruption, Strengthening Democracy, Improvement of Public Services and harmony of citizens.

As for the first format of debate, it is specifically for presidential candidates (candidates).

In the debate session, there are 6 segments, panelists will compile 18 questions, where there are 3 questions from each segment.
