The Dompu District Attorney (Kejari) has named two suspects in the case of alleged corruption in the 2017-2020 budget management at the Dompu Transportation Service (Dishub) which caused state losses of Rp1.2 billion.

"The two suspects we have named in this case have the initials MM and UWH," said Head of the Intelligence Section of the Dompu Kejari Joni Eko Waluyo by telephone, Monday, December 11, as reported by Antara.

The role of the two suspects, he continued, was the treasurer of expenditure at the Dompu Transportation Agency. However, both of them held positions in different years.

"For MM, the treasurer will spend 2017 to 2019. UWH, in 2020," he said.

He said investigators named both of them as suspects by finding at least two pieces of evidence, one of which was related to state losses of Rp. 1.2 billion as a result of an audit by the NTB Inspectorate.

By naming both of them as suspects, investigators apply the suspicion of Article 2 paragraph (1), Article 3, Article 8, Article 9 in conjunction with Article 18 paragraph (1) letter b of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001 jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.

"We have also detained the two suspects by entrusting them in the Class IIB Dompu Prison," he said.

Kejari Dompu handled this case starting from the results of a routine audit by the NTB representative Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).

From the results of the audit, at least Rp700 million was included in the findings of the NTB BPK which stated that there were no accountability reports from the Dompu Transportation Agency.

From the two years of budget management, there were also allegations of irregularities in retribution money that did not enter the state treasury with a value of at least Rp. 100 million.
