Dragged By The Cisadane River Of Bogor, Students From Jakarta Found Dead

BOGOR - A Jakarta resident named Bayu Pradana (14) was found dead after swimming in the Cisadane River, precisely in Menteng Village, Lebak RT002/002, Panaragan Village, Central Bogor District on Sunday, December 10.

This Jakarta resident breathed his last after being dragged by the Cisadane River as far as 50 meters.

Information gathered, the beginning of this incident began when the victim and his four colleagues went to Bogor City from his residence in Jakarta. Where, the goal is to swim in the Cisadane River.

Then, at around 12:36 WIB, the victim and his four colleagues arrived at the scene.

At the time at the scene, it was found that the victim did not immediately swim but first rested.

Baru, at around 13:35 WIB, the victim and his partner immediately played in the water with several local residents.

However, while playing with water, the victim allegedly slipped and was dragged by the current of the Cisadane River in Bogor.

"According to witnesses, the victim was helped by a local resident named Aksa, because Aksa was smaller than the victim, he could not help him, then the victim was carried away by the current," said Head of BPBD Bogor City, Hidayatulloh.

"And not long after drowning, the victim waved his hand, but the victim drowned and did not appear again," he continued.

Knowing this incident, the victim's colleagues also reported it to local residents and the report was forwarded to the authorities.

Not long after, joint officers from Bogor City came to the scene, and immediately searched for the Jakarta resident.

As of 16:12 WIB, the victim was found dead by local residents.

"The victim was found by local residents with a discovery distance from the starting point of the search for 50 m," said Hidayatulloh.

"And now the victim has been taken to the Bogor City Hospital," said the Head of the Bogor City BPBD.
