KUPANG - The East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police sent 100 members of the NTT Regional Police Mobile Brigade to Papua. These members help Papua Regional Police strengthen police security as well as anticipate Armed groups (KKB) in Intan Jaya, Papua.

"They will be dispatched on Thursday (18/2) tomorrow", said NTT Regional Police Chief Inspector General Lotharia Latif as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, February 17.

The appointment of 100 members of the NTT Regional Police Mobile Brigade to assist the Papua Regional Police was affirmed by the Head of Regional Police as an honor for the nation and state.

When holding the rally, 100 personnel from NTT Regional Police Mobile Brigade advised those who departed to return to Kupang with the same number.

"100 people who departed must also return 100 people. It cannot be reduced for any reason", said Inspector General Latif.

He also advised Brigade Mobile members when on duty to Papua to always start their duties with prayer and comply with the SOP.

"Don't justify the usual and get used to the right", said Inspector General Latif.

The departing personnel were asked not to underestimate the situation and conditions currently happening in Papua.

"It takes self-discipline and unity as well as taking care of one another", he said.

"One step never gives up, once you perform, you have to succeed. My soul and body are for humanity", said Inspector General Latif.

According to the plan, 100 NTT Police Mobile Brigade personnel will be assisted in Papua for the next six months until next August.
