Call The Health Office On The Helena Lim Case, The Ombudsman Finds The Failure Of The Vaccinated Health Care System

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ombudsman Representative of Greater Jakarta summoned the Head of the DKI Health Service Widyastuti to ask for information regarding the first stage of the COVID-19 vaccination data collection specifically for health workers (health workers).

This is due to the case of the celebrity program Helena Lim who took part in a special vaccination for health workers at the Kebon Jeruk Community Health Center some time ago. Helena is registered as an employee of Apotek Bumi. However, it turns out that Helena is only a relative of the pharmacy owner.

Head of the Jakarta Ombudsman Representative, Teguh Nugroho, found an inability of the health human resources information system (SISDMK) including names, population identification numbers, and addresses of health workers who were vaccinated targets.

"The failure of this information system has resulted in many health workers not accepting invitations to vaccinate and causing delays in the vaccination process for health workers," Teguh said in his statement to VOI, Wednesday, February 17.

Finally, the Directorate General of Disease Prevention and Control of the Ministry of Health issued a manual data collection policy. Especially for health workers, manual data verification uses a registration certificate (STR).

Meanwhile, for health support personnel, the data is only based on a certificate of employment from the health facility where they work.

Unfortunately, Teguh said, the manual data collection was not accompanied by a mandatory guide to double-check to ensure the correctness of the background of the vaccine target profession.

According to Teguh, this gap is used by certain parties to enter the name of someone who is not included in the category of health workers.

"It can be suspected that in the case of the celebgram in West Jakarta, there is the potential for document falsification from the employer to the individual concerned by exploiting the weakness of the manual data verification process for health support personnel," Teguh said.

"Then, the allegation of document forgery is a criminal act which is entirely within the authority of the police," he added.
