Rizieq Shihab's Activities In Prison, Preaching To Teaching Prisoners To Read The Koran

JAKARTA - Almost three months Habib Rizieq Shihab has been detained on suspicion of violating health protocols. Rizieq has been detained since December 13, 2020.

Then, what is the condition of Rizieq Shihab, who reportedly had a respiratory illness, and his current activities. Rizieq Shihab's lawyer, Aziz Yanuar, said that his client's condition had started to improve.

According to Aziz, Rizieq Shihab's daily life spent time in detention by reciting recitation, writing to preaching.

"Reading, writing dissertations on preaching and discussing religion," said Aziz to VOI, Wednesday, February 17.

Regarding religious discussions, said Aziz, Rizieq did it with two of his closest people, Hanif Alatas who is his son-in-law and Sabri Lubis. Because, they are in the same cell.

Meanwhile, for preaching, Rizieq often taught religious knowledge to other prisoners. "Preaching tauhid prayers and (teaching) the recitation of the Koran to the prisoners," he said.

Apart from that, Aziz said Rizieq's condition had begun to improve after experiencing respiratory problems. However, he could not confirm any further. Because, it can be known after an examination by a team of doctors.

"Alhamdulillah, it gets better, with regards to pain and complaints, let the doctor handle it," he said.

For information, Rizieq Shihab was involved in 3 cases. The first is the case in Petamburan, Central Jakarta and Tebet, South Jakarta. In this case, he was suspected of Article 160 of the Criminal Code and / or Article 93 of Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Jo's Health Quarantine. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st KUHP and Article 216 KUHP Jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code.

Then, Rizieq was also involved in a case blocking the work of the Covid-19 Task Force at the Bogor City UMMI Hospital. In this case, he is suspected of Article 14 and / or Article 15 of Law Number 1 of 1946 concerning Criminal Law Regulations and / or Article 14 Paragraph (1) and Paragraph (2) of Law Number 4 of 1984 concerning Infectious Disease Outbreaks and / or Article 216 Criminal Code Jo. Article 55 KUHP and / or Article 56 KUHP.

Finally, a case of violating the health protocol in Megamendung, Bogor. In this case, Rizieq is alleged to have violated Article 14 paragraph (1) and paragraph (2) of Law Number 4 of 1984 concerning Contagious Disease Outbreaks and / or Article 93 of Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine and / or Article 216 of the Criminal Code.
