It is known, Doni Monardo has been treated intensively in the hospital some time ago. The condition of the former Pangdam III/Siliwangi must receive intensive care supervised by the team of doctors. "He reportedly fell ill and underwent an intensive care process at the hospital since September 22, 2023," said Egy. The former Head of BNPB while still being treated at the hospital had received a visit from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on November 7, 2023 at Siloam Semanggi Hospital, Jakarta. At that time, President Jokowi saw the condition of Doni Monardo who was still lying in a treatment bed. In addition, the President also spoke with the family of Doni Monardo and a team of doctors who also treated while conveying prayers for the recovery of the former Head of BNPB.

Since being inaugurated by President Jokowi as Head of BNPB in January 2019, the man who was born on May 10, 1963, initiated the formation of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 which later became the Task Force for Handling COVID-19 in March 2020. Doni won the award for handling COVID-19 from President Jokowi in March 2023 thanks to the Pentahelix strategy which focuses the spirit of mutual cooperation of all resources, including the cooperation of local governments, local communities, experts, and academics, the media, and the private sector.
