PSI Receives Jokowi's Sedulur Support, Kaesang: Help PSI Whose Survey Is Still Small

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep received support from Sedulur Kaesang Jokowi for the party and for the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 Simultaneous Election.

"Today, the declaration from Sedulur Kaesang Jokowi, where in fact this is the junior of Sedulur Jokowi volunteers. We from Sedulur Kaesang Jokowi who will definitely support Pak Prabowo Subianto to win the 2024 election and also help PSI enter parliament," said Kaesang after the declaration of Sedulur Kaesang Jokowi as reported by ANTARA, Friday, December 1.

In his remarks, Kaesang said that although Sedulur Kaesang Jokowi supported PSI and Prabowo-Gibran, he asked the volunteer group to work to introduce PSI to qualify for parliament, because the PSI electability survey was still small.

"So, yes, help PSI whose surveys are still small, right. If possible, become one of the big parties later to be able to enter Senayan, but that doesn't mean it doesn't help Pak Prabowo and Mas Gibran," he added.

In addition, Kaesang also thanked the volunteers who had escorted his father, Joko Widodo, for two terms of leadership as president. According to him, the level of public satisfaction with his father could not be separated from the support of the volunteers.

"I want to say a lot of gratitude for Sedulur Jokowi, who has been escorting the President for these two periods, which I think is a very good thing because it reaches almost its retirement, Mr. President, the level of satisfaction is still said to be very good," said Kaesang.

Meanwhile, Sedulur Chairman Kaesang Jokowi, R. Dody Iwa Kusumajaya, explained that the volunteer group grew up under Sedulur Jokowi's movement.

"We actually grew up in the movement in Sedulur Jokowi. Coincidentally, I am the general treasurer of Sedulur Jokowi. That is our intention and goal because the aspirations of these young people are too eager to join Sedulur Jokowi. Finally we have this aspiration," said Dody.

Dody also assessed that Kaesang was a young politician figure who was the hope to convince young Indonesians to enter politics.

"Mas Kaesang, this is our hope as young figures, young political figures, who can raise the dignity of young regeneration children, like I have children who are still in college, I believe they can enter politics because our politics is good politics," he said.
