Political Parties Leave Notes For Anies, Who Has High Electability Percentage In The Jakarta Governor Candidate Exchange

JAKARTA - The name Anies Baswedan occupies the highest electability in the Media Survey Indonesia (Median) survey for the seat competition for the candidate for Governor of DKI.

Of the 11 figures, 40.5 percent of respondents chose the name Anies. Second, respondents chose Tri Rismaharini with 16.5 percent. Furthermore, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama was chosen by 8.5 percent, Sandiaga Uno at 3 percent, and 8 other figures under 1 percent.

Meanwhile, when the two highest names were juxtaposed (head to head), Anies Baswedan's electability is at 45 percent versus Tri Rismaharini at 36 percent. The difference is at 9 percent.

The Median survey was conducted from January 31 to February 3 with 400 respondents who are DKI Jakarta residents who have the right to vote.

The survey was conducted with a margin of error of less than 4.9 percent with a confidence level of 95 percent and the sample was selected using multistage random sampling and proportional to the population.

In the survey results, there were more respondents who wanted Anies Baswedan to come back in the DKI Governor Election.

The two factions carrying Anies during the 2017 DKI Jakarta Governor Election, the Gerindra Party, and PKS said they agreed. With a note, Anies must complete his campaign promise until the end of his tenure.

DKI Jakarta House of Representatives from Gerindra Faction member, Syarif hopes Anies can complete the promised program by 2022.

"Three years I have noticed, the promises can be fulfilled gradually. Therefore, Gerindra hopes that all people will focus on Anies-Ariza first. There are several promises that have not been fulfilled, so we are waiting for that to be realized", said Syarif when contacted, Tuesday, February 16.

According to Syarif, the promise that Anies has not yet completed is to produce 250 thousand entrepreneurs in the OK OCE program. In addition, flood and congestion management is still not optimal.

"The strategic issues have not been able to achieve what everyone hopes. But in other areas, I think it is very satisfying", he said.

Meanwhile, PKS DKI Jakarta Regional Management Board (DPW) Chairman Khoirudin also wanted to ensure Anies would continue to strive to fulfill his work promises made in the last campaign through the budget, legislation, and oversight functions at the House of Representatives.

"The PKS faction does not hesitate to remind the governor if his programs do not side with the people of Jakarta", said Khoirudin separately.

A different view came from the PDIP faction. Chairman of the PDIP faction at the House of Representatives DKI Jakarta, Gembong Warsono, does not agree with the results of the Median survey regarding the competition for the seat of the Governor of DKI Jakarta.

According to Gembong, a number of awards that Anies exhibited on his social media were done by the previous DKI leaders.

For example, when Anies won the 2021 Sustainable Transport Award (STA) for a sustainable public transportation intermodal integration program. According to Gembong, this was contributed by the performance of Joko Widodo and Basuki Tjahaja Purnama when they were governors of DKI.

"No achievements have been made by Anies when we are talking about his performance. Even though Anies received a myriad of awards, the awards he received was not from the sweat he carved during his tenure in Jakarta", said Gembong.

"For example, an award in the transportation sector, is that 100 percent of Anies' performance? Not really, because it is a sustainable performance", he continued.

According to Gembong, Anies' performance results during his tenure since 2017 have not been optimal. Many of his campaign promises have yet to be realized.

For example, the IDR 0 installment of the homeownership program. It was recorded that in November 2020, the IDR 0 Down Payment for houses were received by 514 families. In fact, Anies is targeting 232.214 houses until 2022.

"The program that should be the priority scale of Anies, for example, the IDR 0 Down Payment for houses program which did arise from Anies' idea, has it been materialized? It has not been realized to this day", he concluded.
