TANJUNG SELOR - The Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) of North Kalimantan Province (Kaltara) in 2024 will reach IDR 3.5 trillion, this number has increased compared to the Murni Regional Budget in 2023 of IDR 2.9 trillion.
However, the increase in the 2024 APBD, one of which came from the Remaining Budget Usage (Silpa) 2023, which reached around Rp. 400 billion.
Chairman of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of North Kalimantan Province, Albertus Stefanus Marianus Baya, emphasized that his party would study the cause of Silpa's occurrence.
"We need to study technically first, what are the main problems and carry out the main inventory of the problem of Silpa," said Albertus, Wednesday, November 29.
Albertus said the amount of Silpa Rp 400 billion was still limited to reasonableness.
"But we also need to know the cause factors and the source of the problem," said the PDIP politician.

However, his party believes that the planning made by the executive or the North Kalimantan Provincial Government is ripe.
"If the planning seems to be all well done, maybe there is a situation that hinders activities such as in border areas related to distribution. But we'll see first what the main problem is, we have a meeting with TAPD first," he explained.
Previously, North Kalimantan Governor Zainal Arifin Paliwang explained that Silpa amounted to Rp 400 billion due to geographical factors in Kaltara that needed calculations.
"Such as development activities in border areas where the territory is difficult to reach, but, we will still do it next year (2024). For that, we hope it can be agreed immediately so that it can be implemented," he concluded.
