Kaesang Focuses PSI, Hasn't Dropped Prabowo-Gibran Campaign

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep said that his party is currently focusing on campaigning with his party rather than with the Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidate Pair number 2 Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"Nothing yet, for now I am focusing on the Indonesian Solidarity Party," said Kaesang in the Menteng area, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 29.

However, Kaesang said that his party is ready to campaign together if there is a direct request from the Prabowo-Gibran pair.

"However, when asked, I will step down," said Deputy Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) added.

On the other hand, Kaesang explained that PSI continued to go down to the community during the campaign period.

"Yes, we will definitely go down in the community. Before this, we also socialized to the public," he said.

According to Kaesang, PSI's approach to earning millennial votes is to go directly into the community and through social media (medsos).

"Our socialization introduces PSI, down to the ground, land and air. Air means social media, land is immediately socialized," he said.

The closest PSI agenda, he continued, is to visit areas in East Java to campaign from 2 to 6 December 2023.

"On December 2'6), from Surabaya, Gresik, Lamongan, Magetan, Pasuruan, Jember, Banyuwangi, to Madura continued," he said.

Kaesang said the 5-day campaign in East Java was only by PSI or not with the Prabowo-Gibran pair.
