Vice President Ma'ruf: Be Careful With 'Dancing' In Elections That Can Break Masyarkaat

JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin asked Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) in Kuching, Malaysia, to be careful of divisive issues or he called the "demon's vulnerability" against the 2024 General Election.

"I said be careful, there are devil farts, there are issues created by demons, some are RT levels, some are RW levels, some are national levels, some are global," said Vice President Ma'ruf in a national dialogue with PMIs in Kuching, Malaysia, reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 29.

According to the Vice President, in elections there are usually many issues circulating. There are true issues, but there are also many wrong issues that are deliberately raised to divide society. The issue of dividing it is referred to as a "demonstrate".

The term devil' was obtained by Ma'ruf when he was still studying at the pesantren. Ma'ruf said there were three students who always got along and joined in congregational prayers. One person became a priest and two people became a maximum.

However, the devil never liked it when someone got along, so the devil sought reason to separate the three students.

Finally, when the three students prayed, the devil farted. Since then, they have been suspicious of each other and accuse who farted during prayers.

"Imam said this is the maximum I farted. I don't want to have a makum farting anymore. The makmum said, this priest farted. Then I don't want to have a fart priest anymore, since then separate, do not trust each other, do not want to be happy with each other and become an imam," said Ma'ruf.

Therefore, the Vice President asked the public and also including PMI in Malaysia to be careful with the 'demon's knee' because it could divide society. The vice president asked the public to always filter information before sharing it with other people.

"The current term is filtering before sharing. If you want to share, see first, this is true or not, appropriate or not. It's worth it or not. If in religion it is taught so that tabayun, tabayun is a retail check," said the vice president.
