Rarely Appearing In Public, Marshanda Suddenly Becomes A Witness At The Violence Court

JAKARTA - Artist Marshanda is a witness at the Bandung District Court (PN), West Java, on the alleged domestic violence (KDRT) case committed by Arya Claproth against his wife, Karen Pooroe.

Karen Pooroe, an artist who graduated from the Indonesian Idol event, is suspected of being a victim of domestic violence allegedly committed by her husband, Arya Claproth, as the defendant in this case. Marshanda was present as a witness brought in by Arya's party.

"I have known the accused's brother since I was a child," said Marshanda at the Bandung District Court, Bandung City, West Java, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, February 16.

In addition, Marshanda also admitted to having a fairly close relationship with Karen Pooroe. In fact, said Marshanda, Karen had been his manager in the celebrity world.

Regarding the problem of domestic violence in Arya and Karen's families, Marshanda admitted that he knew it started with Arya and Karen's son, Zefania, when they met.

According to her, Zefania told herself that she was tired of seeing her parents who were not on good terms at home.

"All I know is that all these problems are due to financial problems," said Marshanda.

Even so, Marshanda also admitted that he did not directly see the fight between Karen and Arya.

However, he learned of the argument from a video recording containing the argument between Arya and Karen.

Marshanda revealed that Karen had attempted suicide several times in 2015 and in 2019.

"I know from the defendant, but the three of us chatted with the reporter (Karen), there the defendant said the reporter wanted to kill himself because he didn't have money, because he should have paid for the services of a band player," he said.

The case began with the determination of Arya Claproth as a suspect in the alleged domestic violence case committed against his wife, Karen Pooroe.

The verbal abuse had a psychological impact on Karen Pooroe as the reporter of the case. At that time, however, Arya was not detained due to the threat of a sentence of under five years in prison.
