JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo is committed to continuing to assist micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to be digital literate. Because, during this pandemic, it is impossible to sell products face-to-face but through digital or online markets.

Ganjar said that the development of MSMEs in Central Java has started to show good results. In fact, MSME players who have received assistance are able to penetrate the export market.

We invited the heroes, now we are being assisted by these friends. they are literate, start exporting, start with good packaging, "he said, at the UKM Virtual Expo Central Java, Tuesday, February 16.

Not only that, said Ganjar, MSME players who received assistance began to make improvements to the packaging of the products they sold. The goal is that their products can penetrate the global market.

"We encourage them like this, for example, what market is Saudi Arabia needed? Oh the writing is in Arabic, English. This means that we begin to understand that the market needs something that is served according to their wishes, namely language, taste, packaging, and price. "he explained.

Ganjar admitted that his party is also diligent in communicating with MSME business actors. He also always emphasized that if a product is sold through the digital market, it will open up opportunities for the product to be purchased by people from abroad.

"So the development is now they are starting to think 'oh yes, I am not only selling around the left and right neighbors' even though MSMEs, because there is potential for people from the outside world to also buy," he said.

Even so, said Ganjar, there were still many MSME players who were still having difficulty penetrating the export market. The problems faced range from packaging that does not comply with export standards to capital to upgrade product quality.

"Every week I sell on my IG, a lot of people ask. Usually they ask, sir, I can't just pack it with plastic packaging. Yes, bro. Finally we teach packaging school, we have a place. Don't have money? Access to finance. there is a KUR here, "he explained.

Ganjar explained, he accommodated the obstacles experienced by the UMKM players, then the Head of Central Java Cooperatives and UKM Service Ema Rachmawati would follow up.
