Prasetyo Edi Becomes The Head Of The Jakarta PDIP Faction Definitively Replaces Gembong Warsono Who Dies

The Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the PDI-P (PDIP) has appointed the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Prasetyo Edi Marsudi to be the definitive chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD. Prasetyo replaced the position of Gembong Warsono, who died some time ago.

Prasetyo said that the determination was based on decision letter number 025/KPTS/DPD-DKI/XI/2023 which ratified him as chairman of the PDIP faction was carried out on Friday, November 24.

"I accept this mandate and will carry out it with full responsibility," Prasetyo said in his presetyoedimarsudi Instagram account, quoted on Tuesday, November 28.

Less than 3 months before the voting day for the 2024 General Election, Prasetyo reminded party officials bearing the bull symbol to visit the public more often and absorb their aspirations.

"You must not tire of fighting for the interests of the community, children, marhaens, grassroots," wrote Prasetyo.

"Strengthen the ranks, be upright, work together to work hand in hand to move with the same steps, with the fire that never goes out winning the PDI-P hat trick, winning three consecutive wins in the 2024 General Election and Ready to Win Ganjar Mahfud," he continued.

It is known that Prasetyo has served as Acting Chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD since October 17, before finally being appointed as chairman of the definitive faction.

This was determined by the Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the DKI Jakarta PDIP, Ady Widjaja. Prasetyo became the Acting Chair of the PDIP faction until the definitive position was determined.

"The letter of stipulation of the Acting Chairperson of the PDIP faction has been issued after the internal consolidation meeting of the DKI Jakarta PDI-P DPD Tuesday, October 17," said Secretary of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Dwi Rio Sambodo in a short message, Wednesday, October 18.

Then, the DPD also appointed the Deputy Chairperson of the Internal Division of the DKI Jakarta PDIP Honorary Division Deserves Nainggolan to be the Acting Secretary of the DPD PDIP DKI Jakarta to fill the post of the late Gembong Warsono.

Rio explained, after the temporary position was filled, the DKI Jakarta PDIP DPD had held a working meeting to prepare the next agendas.

"Last Monday, after the informal consolidation, Tuesday is a formal consolidation in order to determine monitoring-evaluation and planning of agendas in the future," said Rio.

For information, Gembong Warsono passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at around 01.30 am at the age of 60 years. Gembong has a history of heart disease and died at Pertamina Hospital. He was buried at the Tanah Kusir TPU, South Jakarta.
