Starting In Merauke, The Peak Of Ganjar Pranowo's Campaign Ends At GBK Jakarta

JAKARTA - Candidate pairs (candidates) and vice president (cawapres) Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD will hold campaigns throughout Indonesia. Both will start the campaign oppositely. If Ganjar will start it in Merauke, Mahfud will start from Sabang Aceh on Tuesday 28 November.

"Tomorrow I will go to Merauke, Papua. Hopefully, Mr. Mahfud can go to Aceh tomorrow so that I will start from the east, Mr. Mahfud from the west," explained Ganjar after attending the Declaration of the 2024 Election Peace Campaign, at the KPU RI Building, Jakarta, last Monday.

Later, the peak or end of the Ganjar-Mahfud campaign period will end at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (GBK).

"God willing, in the rounds (of the campaign) it will peak in GBK, the last one will be here," said Ganjar.

Ganjar hopes that the implementation of the 2024 election campaign period can take place peacefully with a commitment between candidate pairs supporters who follow the rules.

"I hope that all will be able to maintain the peace of all existing strengths. Follow the rules, remind our friends so that we can move to carry a peaceful message," Ganjar hoped.

The election campaign period has been determined by the General Elections Commission (KPU) and will take place from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024. The vote is scheduled to be held on February 14, 2024.

After the campaign period ended, the presidential-cawapres candidate pair entered a calm period on 11-13 February 2024. On February 14, 2024, it was D day for simultaneous voting and vote counting.

Furthermore, from February 15, 2024 to March 20, 2024, the results of the vote count were recapitulated. The elected presidential and vice presidential pairs took their oaths and promises on October 20, 2024.
