PAPUA - Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party Kaesang Pangarep asked Joko Widodo volunteers, Bara JP, in Papua to support his party in the 2024 General Election and Regional Head Election. "My target is that from 250,000 (noises in Papua Province), there are still 93,000 for PSI, sir. Gerindra is already big, PSI is first, sir," said Kaesang to the Acting Chairperson of Bara JP in Tanah Papua Willem Frans Ansanay during a meeting of volunteers in Jayapura, Papua, Antara, Monday, November 27. Kaesang also entrusted PSI's votes in Papua to the volunteers. He is optimistic that vote support from Papua can help PSI deliver legislative candidates who they carry as members of the Indonesian House of Representatives. Meanwhile, Willem Frans Ansanay reiterated his upright stance in supporting the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo, including his children, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who is running for vice president with Prabowo Subianto, then Kaesang Pangarep who currently serves as PSI General Chair. He believes that support for President Jokowi's sons can guarantee that development programs currently running in Papua can continue. Kaesang visited Jayapura from Sunday to Monday for a dialogue with religious figures ranging from the GKI Synod Workers Agency in Papua to Papuan Muslim leader Thaha Alhamid, then he also chaired the PSI cadre consolidation meeting in Jayapura.
