Anies Baswedan Starts Campaign In Jakarta On November 28, 2023

JAKARTA - The Presidential Candidate for the Republic of Indonesia, Anies Baswedan, will start the campaign on November 28, 2023 in Jakarta. This announcement was made by Anies at the Bung Karno Basketball Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday, November 26.

Although the location of the campaign has not been disclosed in detail, Anies stated that the campaign will take place in Jakarta, and its location will be further informed.

"Meanwhile, the plan is a campaign in Jakarta. We will inform you exactly where it is," said Anies, the former Governor of DKI Jakarta.

Anies also did not rule out campaigning in West Java in the first week of the campaign period. He stated, "We will campaign in many places," he added.

Before entering the campaign period, the Indonesian KPU will hold a Declaration of Peaceful Elections in front of the Indonesian KPU Office on November 27. This event will be attended by all election participants, and one of the series of events is the closure of the election procession that has traveled throughout Indonesia.

The Indonesian KPU has determined three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates as participants in the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections. Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar received serial number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md. serial number 3. The campaign period will take place from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024, with a vote on February 14, 2024.
