JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) appreciates the Presidential Secretariat's plan to store gratuity items reported by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Gratification Museum which will be built as a lesson.

Previously, the KPK had handed over 12 gratuity items worth IDR8.7 billion to the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) of the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday, February 9 at the Presidential Secretariat Office.

Acting KPK spokesman for Prevention Ipi Maryati Kuding stated that President Jokowi received the items from King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud during the President's working visit to Saudi Arabia on May 15, 2019.

"Through Decree Number 1527 of 2020 dated October 27, 2020, the KPK has decided that the 12 items are designated as state property," said Ipi, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, February 16.

He explained that for security reasons, these items were not brought to the KPK but remained at the Presidential Secretariat Office as long as the KPK and the "appraisal" team conducted an assessment of these items which then carried out clarification, analysis and the handover process from the KPK to the DJKN.

Furthermore, said Ipi, to realize the plan to store these items in the museum, the State Secretariat as a working unit (satker) will submit a Usage Status Determination (PSP) to the Ministry of Finance for the 12 items.

"PSP will also be submitted for items that have been reported to the KPK in 2017 by President Jokowi and several other officials from King Salman whose value reaches Rp108 billion," said Ipi.
