JCI Finally Returned To Green, Closed Up 2.94 Percent To The Level Of 5,518.63

JAKARTA - The composite stock price index was finally able to rise after the last few days weakened to the level of 5,300s. Today, Tuesday 3 March, JCI closed up nearly 3 percent or 2.94 percent (157.39 points) to the level of 5,518.63.

The greening of the JCI was driven by 313 stocks that were recorded to have strengthened, and only 94 stocks that fell. Meanwhile, there are 130 stocks that are stagnant.

Director of Research and Investment for Pilarmas Investindo Sekuritas Maximilianus Nico Demus said, despite the rebound, market players and investors must remain cautious because in the future they are still prone to corrections.

"So far, stocks have been discounted quite a lot, thus providing a moment for market players to reenter by paying attention to the fundamentals and valuations of the company," he told VOI.

In addition, he continued, what market players should pay attention to is that China has asked for patents related to the vaccine, so of course this gives a positive sentiment that the virus can be handled.

"However, the question is, with this vaccine, can the spread be controlled? As long as the spread cannot be controlled, or there are still countries reporting the corona virus, it means that uncertainty is still wide open," he explained.

This afternoon, stocks that were among the top gainers, including PT Tiphone Mobile Indonesia Tbk (TELE) which rose 34.21 percent to Rp153, PT Sentral Mitra Informatika Tbk (LUCK) which rose 18.81 percent to Rp600, and PT Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Tbk (INKP), which strengthened by 10.45 percent to Rp6,075

Meanwhile, among the top losers include PT Lancartama Sejati Tbk (TAMA) which fell 25 percent to Rp318, PT Repower Asia Indonesia Tbk (REAL) which fell 12.05 percent to Rp73, and PT Ginting Jaya Energi Tbk (WOWS) which weakened to Rp93.
