Prabowo Says Indonesia Will Have Cars Made By Children Of The Nation

JAKARTA - Presidential Candidate Prabowo Subianto said that if he was given the trust by the people to lead the Indonesian nation, then this country would have a domestically produced car which is the work of the nation's children.

"I have stated that if we are given a mandate, then Indonesia will have its own Indonesian-made car, its own Indonesian-made motorbike, all industrial goods made by Indonesian children," Prabowo said as quoted by Antara, Sunday.

Prabowo voiced his wish that the Indonesian people not only focus on receiving the people's minimum wage (UMR), but also more than that.

"We don't want the Indonesian people to just be rough workers, continue to accept UMR. We don't want it. We want Indonesia to prosper," he said.

He also stated his commitment to continue the program that was enforced by President Joko Widodo, namely to maintain Indonesia's wealth so that it is not traded at a price that is not comparable to other countries.

For Prabowo, protecting Indonesia's natural assets and resources from detrimental exploitation is an undeniable priority.

Maintaining economic sovereignty and protecting natural wealth from unfair use, Prabowo continued, is an essential step in building a sustainable and fair future for Indonesia.

He also underlined that Indonesia's natural resources will not be sold in raw form, but will be processed into various goods with high added value to increase the selling value.

"We will not allow natural resources to be sold raw. We want to build factories. We want to build smelters, refineries. We want to process these materials into expensive items," said Prabowo.
