Cak Imin: Netrality Of Officials Is Absolute, Otherwise Indonesia's Dirty Election Is Destroyed

BATANG - Candidate for vice president Muhaimin Iskandar reminded state civil servants, police, TNI, and KPU to maintain neutrality in the implementation of the 2024 General Election so that the people's democratic parties run peacefully, smoothly, and happily.

"The important thing now is that everyone must learn from mistakes, neutrality is absolute, otherwise elections are dirty. If the election is dirty, Indonesia will be destroyed because of the zero point of democracy," he said after attending the Amin Winning Internal Consolidation event in Batang Regency, Central Java, reported by ANTARA, Thursday, November 16.

Muhaimin Iskandar, who is familiarly called Cak Imin, asked the referees to all act fairly (fair) so that ASN, police, TNI, and KPU must all really take care of (neutrality), not only for Amin but about elections that were born fairly because they would strengthen the new government.

"Whoever wins, will get strong support from all parties, the name is legitimat," said Presidential Candidate Muhaimin Iskandar, who is paired with Presidential Candidate Anis Basweden.

He said he was grateful to be able to gather with the kiai, PKB activists, and Nahdathul Ulama activists to share perceptions, equalize movements in the 2024 General Election.

"God willing, after returning from here (Batang), we will continue to work hard because I want Batang Regency and the electoral district here so that Anies-Cak Imin (Amin) wins in the 2024 election," he said.

Cak Imin recounted that the figure of the presidential candidate Anies Baswedan who was paired with him was an old friend when they both studied at UGM Yogyakarta, both in the student movement, and sought that changes in the New Order era be replaced by the democratic regime.

"Therefore, today we also want to lead the changes so that justice is more felt, where the big one can still be big, and the small one must be big. Democracy is running, freedom of thought, we evaluate the ITE law because it will only make it difficult for the people to express freely," he said.
