Heru Budi Asked Not Only To Withdraw KJP Brawl Students, But Also Blacklist Forever

JAKARTA - Member of Commission A DPRD DKI Jakarta William Aditya Sarana agreed with the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono's move to revoke the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) for students involved in a brawl.

However, William asked Heru and his staff to ensure that the student was not only removed in KJP recipients, but also prohibited from applying again as a recipient or being blacklisted for good.

"We encourage the firm efforts of Governor Heru Budi to revoke the KJP for students involved in the brawl, they cannot even apply for KJP again in the future or blacklist from the KJP list," William told reporters, Thursday, November 16.

William views that the brawls carried out by the students were a very worrying social problem and asked that the problem be resolved immediately.

One way is massive education to all parties, so that the potential for brawls between students can be minimized.

"We cannot allow the despicable behavior of these students, they not only endanger themselves and fellow students at school, their actions have also disturbed the community," William said. "I emphasize the importance of education not only for children, but also for teachers and parents," he continued.

Heru Budi has previously repeatedly emphasized that the DKI Provincial Government will revoke the KJP for students involved in brawls.

Finally, Heru said that 7 students had their KJP revoked due to a brawl in Kalideres, West Jakarta.

In this case, a number of high school students who wanted to get involved in a brawl, brought sickles, and threatened a security guard who dispersed them.

"Yang kemarin, 7 siswa itu tertapatkan tawuran, dia ada KJP-nya (dicabut). Pelajar bawa sajam, tawuran, kan melanggar aturan," ungkap Heru.

In another case, 19 teenage brawlers that occurred on November 13 in the Gang T area, Kampung Rawa Village, Johar Baru District, are also threatened with no longer accepting KJP.

"There are students who are secured. If they receive the KJP given by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, it could be threatened to be revoked in accordance with the provisions of the regulations," said Head of Kampung Rawa Village, Ferry Zahrudin.

Ferry said that his party was still waiting for the names of students involved in the brawl, especially those who received the KJP. Later the data will be sent directly to the Central Jakarta City Government level.

"The data will explain the role of these students in the brawl. All the data we get will be directly addressed to the Central Jakarta Education Sub-dept.," he said.
