Regarding The Gibran-Bobby Polemic At PDIP, Hasto: Closed Book

Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto emphasized that the polemic of family members of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Bobby Nasution in his party has been completed. His party is now focusing on winning the presidential and vice presidential candidates number three Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.

"Those are all closed books," said Hasto at the High End building, Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, November 15.

Hasto explained that President Jokowi's son and son-in-law had submitted a letter to the PDIP DPC of Solo City and Medan City. Although it does not explain its contents, the substance is considered to have represented it.

"Everything (has submitted, red). Mas Gibran is the same, Mas Gibran has closed the book, the letter has been given the DPC with the contents. The difference is only the date and signing but the substance is the same," he said.

They don't want to talk much anymore because they will move to win the 2024 presidential election. "The important thing is the victory of Pak Ganjar and Prof Mahfud with confidence," said Hasto.

As previously reported, the Mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution, is no longer considered a member of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP).

This is stated in letter Number: 217 / IN / DPC-29.B-26.B / XI / 2023 signed by the Chairman of the Medan City PDIP DPC Hasyim dated November 10, 2023. The letter was received by Bobby on Monday, November 13.

"Brother Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution no longer meets the requirements as a member of the PDI-P," reads the letter quoted on Tuesday, November 14.

This attitude was taken because Bobby was considered to have violated the code of ethics and discipline of PDIP members because he supported the presidential candidate pair (candidate) and presidential candidate number two, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

It is known that PDIP together with PPP, Hanura Party, and Perindo agreed to carry Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD.

"The PDI-P DPC of Medan City stated that Brother Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasuition has been proven to have violated the Code of Ethics and Disciplinary of Party Members by not complying with party regulations and decisions because it supports the presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs promoted by other political parties."
