Ganjar Supports PDIP Pecat Bobby Nasution, Tak Risau Suara In Medan Shifts To Competitors

Presidential candidate (candidate) number three, Ganjar Pranowo spoke about the dismissal of Bobby Nasution as a PDI-P cadre (PDIP) for supporting Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka. He said he was not worried that the vote niche in Medan City would shift to other couples.

"No, we are very optimistic (with potential votes in Medan City, ed)," said Ganjar to reporters at the KPU building, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, November 14.

Ganjar instead supported his party because he sanctioned cadres who turned in the middle of the road. "If it is disciplinary and party rules are not followed, I don't think the party should hesitate in deciding that," he said.

"And cadres must be very happy and respectful because this is part of the consequences of political choice. I think the action is correct," continued the former Governor of Central Java.

As previously reported, the Medan City PDIP DPC decided that Medan Mayor Bobby Afif Nasution or Bobby Nasution would no longer meet the requirements as a party member. He is considered to openly support Prabowo Subianto who is paired with his brother-in-law, Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Pernyataan ini disampaikan melalui Surat Pemberitahuan Nomor 217/IN/DPC-29.B-26.B/XI/2023. Dalam surat tanggal 10 November itu, disebutkan Bobby sudah melanggar kode etik dan disiplin anggota partai.“Saudara Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution tidak lagi memenuhi syarat sebagai anggota PDI Perjuangan,” kata Ketua DPC PDIP Kota Medan Hasyim dalam surat yang dikutip pada Selasa, 14 November.Hasyim mengatakan pihaknya sudah menunggu Bobby mengembalikan kartu tanda anggota (KTA). Tapi, menantu Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) tersebut tak kunjung melakukannya meski DPP PDIP memberikan waktu tiga hari setelah melakukan klarifikasi.“Sampai batas waktu yang diberikan oleh DPP Partai bahwa Saudara Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution belum juga menyerahkan surat pengunduran diri dan KTA PDI Perjuangan kepada DPC PDI Perjuangan Kota Medan,” tegasnya.
