The Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep asked Jokowi volunteers in Medan, North Sumatra, to continue to move to win the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"Now the task is to win Pak Prabowo and Mas Gibran, just choose to win two rounds or one round," said Kaesang in a meeting with North Sumatra Jokowi Volunteers in Medan as reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 13.

In front of the volunteers, President Joko Widodo's youngest son said that for the 2024 General Election, one round would need the volunteers' hard struggle to win Prabowo-Gibran.

"But indeed one round is not an easy thing, volunteers must move to introduce Pak Prabowo and Gibran," he said.

The task of volunteers, he said, was to go to the community to introduce what role Prabowo Subianto had done as Minister of Defense and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as Mayor of Solo, Central Java.

"This must be told to the public so that the public knows what Pak Prabowo and Mas Gibran do so that they can trust them more to vote," said Kaesang.

To Jokowi's Volunteers, Kaesang introduced himself to be the General Chairperson of PSI who in the 2024 General Election targets to be able to process 8 percent of the votes to qualify for parliament.

He conveyed that many of the PSI candidates came from communities such as the Jokowi Volunteer Community, Gibran House, Jokowi Underline Volunteers, Bobby Volunteers, the Chinese Indonesian Community, and others.

"Please all of you here, we ask for your support, support and prayers so that later we can get at least 10 percent," he said.

Kaesang and the PSI DPP entourage conducted a political safari in Medan, North Sumatra, 12-13 November 2023. Also accompanying the political safari were PSI Secretary General Raja Juli Antoni and PSI Board of Trustees Isyana Bagoes Oka.

Since serving as PSI General Chair, Kaesang has been aggressively carrying out political safaris to a number of regions in the country.

Before going to Medan, Kaesang conducted political safaris in Kupang (NTT), Manado (North Sulawesi), Bandung (West Java), several areas in Java, and Jakarta.

It is known, in the 2019 election, the Jokowi-Ma'ruf pair won 3,936,515 votes or in North Sumatra, ahead of the Prabowo-Sandi pair of 3,587,786 votes.
