JAKARTA - TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono SE, MM together with National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo inaugurated the Hoegeng Police General Iman Santoso Monument at the general's birthplace in Pekalongan, Central Java, Saturday 11 November.

In front of the media crew, the TNI Commander said he really appreciated the construction of the Hoegeng Police Monument in Pekalongan. "I really appreciate the construction of this statue in Pekalongan, which of course we as the next generation, and also the next generation, can see firsthand the figure of Mr. Hoegeng," he said.

Admiral TNI Yudo also said that the figure of Police General Hoegeng who was simple and modest and close to his subordinates became a suri tauladan for the next generation. I am sure everyone also knows the history of Pak Hoegeng's journey who leads with simplicity and simplicity and is close to his subordinates, of course this is a role model for us, and is our benchmark for the next leaders to imitate him, I am sure to be a role model for all of us," he continued.

At the inauguration, the TNI Commander went on stage to press the inauguration button together, followed by the signing of the inscription of the Monument of Police General Hoegeng Iman Santoso. After signing, Admiral TNI Yudo, General Police Sigit and officials at the Central Java Province, Central Java Police, Kodam IV/Diponegoro and Pekalongan City and the ranks took a joint photo in front of the monument.

During the event, health services were also carried out, the TNI Commander had the opportunity to talk with people who were waiting to check their health and symbolically provide assistance with packages of nine basic commodities to the people present.

Police General (Ret.) Drs. Hoegeng Iman Santoso, was born in Pekalongan, October 14, 1921 and is the 5th National Police Chief (1968 to 1971) who previously had a career in Pekalongan City, Central Java Province. The purpose of the monument development was to inspire the example of Police General Hoegeng Iman Santoso as an honest, simple and with integrity Insan Bhayangkara, and continued steps to encourage Police General Hoegeng Iman Santoso as a national hero.
