JAKARTA An unidentified male corpse was found by a Public Infrastructure and Facilities Handling Officer (PPSU) in the East Flood Canal (KBT) of Cakung District, East Jakarta, Tuesday afternoon, November 7.

Officers from the Cakung Sector Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept., East Jakarta Pramuji explained, his party immediately dispatched five personnel, one rescue car and a rubber boat to evacuate.

He said his party knew about the discovery of the body after receiving a report from the Cakung Police Criminal Investigation Unit to ask for help in evacuating the body.

Pramuji said that the condition of the body had swollen and the back and back of the corpse also appeared to have scars.

"We do not yet know the suspicion or cause of the man's death. So far it is still unknown and the case is being handled by the Cakung Police," said Pramuji. He admitted that the officers had difficulty evacuating the man's body because of the position of the body in the middle of the river and was full of mud to get to the location.

"It was difficult because the position of the corpse was in the middle of the KBT flow, so we deployed a rubber boat so as not to fall into the mud because it was a little deep," he said.

The PPSU officer immediately contacted Bhabinkamtibmas and the Cakung Police immediately checked.

"From the victim's body, no identity was found, which is definitely male," said Panji.

Panji estimates that the corpse had died for about two to three days because it was swollen.

After being evacuated, the body was taken to the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital for an autopsy.
