Prevent Fire, Jayapura Regency Government Installs 30 CCTV Points

JAKARTA - The Jayapura Regency Government (Pemkab) installed 30 closed circuit television (CCTV) points or surveillance cameras in office complexes to prevent another fire in government centers in the district.

Acting Regent of Jayapura Triwarno Purnomo when contacted by ANTARA, Sunday, said that he had directed the installation of CCTV in the regent's office.

"I have conveyed to the Head of the Jayapura Kominfo Office to immediately follow up on the installation," he said.

According to him, what kind of installation has been communicated by looking at the current needs.

"Of course the installation of this camera is to prevent further fires and find out the perpetrators of these crimes or others so that they can be processed," he said.

He explained that three fires in office complexes severely hampered programs and damaged offices to provide services to the community.

"We have relocated the six burned services to the temporary office for the service program to the community to continue," he said.

He added that the police should immediately reveal the motives and perpetrators of the three series of fires at the Jayapura regent's office complex.

"This must be stopped so that development in this district continues to progress and develop, so that welfare for the community is achieved," he said.
